MUSIC EDUCATION

Music teaching

As a daughter of an artist and a psychologist, I believe that music making is the window to the soul, in every age or level.

I have been teaching Recorder and Music theory for more than twenty years, in one-on-one lessons, groups, ensembles, frontal/ online. the range of my students' age starts from seven and the sky is the limit...

In our joint work, it's important for me to expose the students to as many instruments and periods as possible, showing the richness of the instrument's possibilities as well as developing the student's expression, sound and technique.

"A morning of Renaissance"-
workshops for Recorder players

"A morning of Renaissance" is the label of my workshop series i have been creating for several years.

Since I believe that music is primarily a way of communication and hence, a communal art, it is important for me to create opportunities for my students to meet each other, play together and share their thoughts and experiences.

Among time, these workshops have grown and attracted also guest Recorder players from all across the country, and it's a rare opportunity for everyone to get to know other musicians.

Among the workshops:

- annual festive student concert, to which the students pick the repertoire with me, practice for months, and play solo/ duets/ chamber music.

- chamber music workshop in which we work on varied repertoire, intonation and musical team-work.

- "like an open book"- learning to analyze score and adjusting the suitable interpretation

- playing with continuo

and more...
