“Recorder player Inbar Solomon won the Odon Partos prize of the Israeli Culture minister. The piece “Ra’ad”, composed by the Israeli composer Hila Tamir-Ostrover is dedicated to Inbar Solomon. The jury was impressed by the perfect balance between virtuosity and emotional expression of Solomon’s performance. We cordially congratulate Inbar Solomon for this special prize!”

..."The recorder dances light-footed and self-assured... recorder player Inbar Solomon brings the necessary fire"

(Sarah Jeffery, Blokfluitist)

"In my eyes, these brand new pieces are the moments that really stand out, with numerous details in varied sound worlds. The unearthly textures on Dganit Elyakim's One on 1.1 for recorders and electronics are addictive to listen to. Effects such as playing back recorded samples become magical sounds and the moment when layers of harmony unfold over each other gives goosebumps. Other beautiful moments of the new pieces are the lush chords of Zohar Sharon's My Folia, and the quiet simplicity of Julian Dawes' A Jewish Folia: Moderato. For me, the pinnacle of early music presented here is Scarlatti's version, originally written for keysboard, but here the recorder dances light-footed and self-assured. Together with Yizhar Karshon on harpsichord, recorder player Inbar Solomon brings the necessary fire, when the music like a runaway train racing through all variations. And the unexpected ending of this piece – this CD is worth listening to for that alone!
